Strengthening God’s People
The Bible tells us we are uniquely talented, servant partners with Christ, yet so many of us struggle to align ourselves with this truth. Instead, we repeatedly strive after “our best lives” in ways that eventually fail. Often, churches find themselves struggling to help pick up the pieces of broken lives through crisis counseling and support groups.
What if we could give church members tangible tools to help understand their unique talents and build those talents into Christ-focused strengths? What if they could use those strengths to prepare for the expected trouble of this world and serve others along the way?
When Donald Clifton decided to study what is right with people instead of fixating on what is wrong with them, he uncovered a valuable tool we can use in this manner.
Exploring how you’ve been uniquely gifted helps further anchor your identity to your Creator, increases your ability to collaborate with a body of believers, and unites you all around a central purpose.
This is my goal in serving churches. I have three primary mechanisms to achieve this. For example, we typically begin with a series of group sessions for your staff, to give them a common language to talk about our strengths in a positive, productive manner. Then, we can move on to group sessions with volunteers or other lay leaders, followed by offering family and individual sessions to the congregation.
When offered in partnership with a church, all sessions are filtered through the lens of scripture. Prices, session topics, and timelines are negotiable and will be adjusted according to the needs of the church and the structure of the engagement.
Encourage your congregation to live their strengths in service of God’s Kingdom.
